Nina Lauren Nenitte de la Hoya is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1988 to 2006. During her career, she held the IBF and WBA light welterweight titles and was a two-time world champion. She retired with an undefeated record of 44 wins (45 KOs) and 0 losses.

Nina Lauren Nenitte De La Hoya was born in Los Angeles, California on February 26th, 1986. Growing up, De La Hoya always had a passion for performing arts. She started out taking ballet and jazz classes at a young age and then moved onto acting. After appearing in several local theatre productions, De La Hoya caught the attention of a talent agent and landed her first major role in the 2003 film The Terminal.
Since then, De La Hoya has continued to establish herself as an accomplished actress. In 2006 she starred in the feature film White Chicks alongside Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx. She followed that up with roles in films such as My Best Friend’s Wedding (2007), Be Cool (2009), 21 Jump Street (2012), and Central Intelligence (2016). In 2016, Nina Lauren Nenitte De La Hoya won the gold medal in the women’s flyweight event at the Olympics. This was her first Olympic medal, and it capped off a successful career in which she has won numerous world championships and world titles.
Nenitte De La Hoya was born on December 24, 1985, in Inglewood, California. She began boxing at an early age, and by the time she was 15 years old she had already captured multiple national titles. In 2004, she became the female junior world champion.
In 2006, Nenitte De La Hoya won her first senior title, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) super bantamweight championship. She defended this title nine times before losing it to Anahi Ortiz in 2011. That same year, she became the WBC super bantamweight champion by defeating Cecilia Braekhus.
In 2012, Nenitte De La Hoya successfully defended her WBC super bantamweight championship against Marcela Jimenez. The following year, she became the IBF super bantamweight champion by defeating Arlene Blanco Solis. In both of these fights, Nenitte De La Hoya showcased her exceptional skills as a boxer by using her jab to keep her opponents at bay and landing powerful combinations when given an opening.
